check out this series of posts on flagrant disregard about moving to linux from windows. this is what i will be doing with my new athlon64-based pc that i just finished putting together. i’ve been messing around with linux on the server for over a year, but now it is time to make the desktop switch. i am still deciding which path to go, but i think it is pretty clear that ubuntu is the right way. i just need to find out if there is a ubuntu ultimate distro for 64 bit. as the post points out, the real trick is sticking with it and learning the new software.
The other good part of the post is the “i’m linux” spoof of “i’m a mac”. i love it!!
