it was only the second time ever that i made it, but for my wife’s b-day this year, i made her a strawberry rhubarb pie. it came out alright. a little too much flour, so the filling ended up too thick and pasty with patches of white even. but it was a great combination of sweet and tart, so using the fresh strawberries and the right amount of sugar was key.
